Healthy Air means Healthy People
Don't take our word for it... latest Australian research shows that Indoor Plantscapes can cut depression levels by almost 60%, anger by 44%, fatigue by 38%, anxiety by 37% and confusion by 30% for more click here....
A history of healthy interaction
The history of humans interacting with the environment extends into the dim distant past. Our species has continued to be biologically well adapted to ‘nature’. We are reliant on plants for everything we need - from food to shelter, and for oxygen.
Throughout history, humans have recognised an essential role for plants in providing pleasure, perfumes and peace.
Adapting to the urban life
More recently, the world has seen an increasingly rapid growth in modern cities. Which begs the question, how well are we adapting to our new, urban ecology?
Green interiors are an important element for sustainable urban communities. Certainly, city-living has great benefits, but there are obvious costs to health and wellbeing. Indoor Air quality is without doubt a major health concern as in an urban environment we spend so much time indoors where air quality is substantially worse that outdoors.
The indoor plantscapes absorbs and degrades all types of air pollution and as such is a vital element in urban dwellers’ health.
A spiritual connection
Our connection with nature over continuing generations has verged on the spiritual. Indeed, it is suggested in a number of studies that humans can only function effectively when they maintain a mini environment that is similar to our ancestral heritage in nature. In short, we need to maintain our psychological links with nature.
Studies indicate that indoor plants aid wellbeing and productivity and cost-benefit analyses show that the investment in Plantscapes indoors is more than worthwhile in terms of enhanced productivity and wellbeing together with the contribution to creating sustainable communities.

Are you aware that plants improves productivity, lowers stress and increases staff retention
Healthy indoor plants absorb many of the nasty chemicals that re-circulate through air conditioning in workplaces and commercial premises.
These chemicals come from furniture, paint, solvents, cleaning products and building materials. When combined with low levels of oxygen through re-circulated air (as we breathe out carbon dioxide), we can suffer from nausea, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, and skin, eye, nose and throat irritation.
This is called Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). SBS results in millions of dollars lost every year through sickness and lost productivity.
Plants breathe out oxygen and help replace what we inhale from air conditioned or closed environments. The right levels of oxygen in enclosed environments help us to think better, remember things, improve reaction time and reduce stress, including headaches.
Poorly ventilated buildings with lower oxygen levels have been directly linked with Sick Building Syndrome.
So, by installing healthy indoor plants and keeping them well maintained, you can enjoy higher levels of oxygen in your premises and avoid absorbing some of the chemicals known to cause SBS.
A study of tax workers in the Netherland showed a 12% improvement in productivity of those who had plants near their computers and who worked for more then four hours per day!
